This Fool's Journey: 0 - VII

So, The Fool bounds on to the scene a utterly blank canvas.  Her eyes are wide and empty, she is ready to experience Life.  The Magus teaches her what the experiences mean - she understands cause and effect now.   The Priestess tells her that there is more, much more, than just what she can see and experience with her physical senses.  There is Mystery.  But perhaps The Fool isn't ready to experience Mystery.  The Empress shows her the meaning of Life, and how it comes to be.  Maternal love with its selfless giving and eternal embrace prepares her for what lies ahead...

And what lies ahead is Order.  Being able to take up the scepter and lead.  Paternal love is more into creating self-sufficiency.  Being able to stand and deliver, stick to one's guns, be firm in the face of trouble.  With this confidence, the Fool is finally able to say, "I don't know."  While that may seem like the Fool hasn't moved forward, it shows that she realizes that there is more.  Much more.  And taking the Truth of others without questioning is just a trap.  With her eyes opened to even greater possibilities, she moves forward to yet another confusing situation.  The Lovers show that the Universe is not as cut and dried as she thought.  Once, the Hierophant led the way, but now, he is hooded and the Fool must find the balance on her own.  There are so many different faces to every situation - each with merit.  Finding that balance where the merits of each are meaningful is a major lesson.  But just when the Fool thinks she has it figured out, The Chariot pulls up and tosses it all out the window.  Finding balance is one thing, but being able to maintain it is another.
