August 20 - 26, 2011 ~ The Science Tarot

The Science Tarot

Self-Published, 2010

I purchased this and The Tarot of Physics at the same time from The Tarot Garden.  Another GREAT impulse buy!

Physically, it is a very nice deck.  The card stock is that nice thick style that I like.  The colors are easy on the eye.  And it comes in a two-part box with a substantial LWB.  The suits are clever and make sense.  Much of the science is basic and the LWB does an excellent job of explaining basic concepts.  I really like the use of scientists for the courts.  A Google search will help fill in concepts that aren't covered in the LWB.

As a reading deck it was just as awesome as the Tarot of Physics.  And once again, I believe it is mainly because it was putting things into a language I understood.  I don't often call myself a "scientist," but really, that is what I trained to do.

This really isn't a very long review - there is a point where I will just gush on and on about how wonderful I think a deck is.  This is one of those decks.    And please, don't feel intimidated by it.  I have heard too many say that they feel they are inadequately educated to use this or the Tarot of Physics.  To that, I say "BULL!!"
Give the deck a try.  It is fun and informative.  And as an added bonus, it functions very well as a tarot deck.
